Decomposes and suppresses Moraxella bacteria, which causes a wet odor in laundry.

It is known that the bacteria that causes the damp smell of laundry that occurs when drying clothes indoors is Moraxella bacteria. It is ensured that STREAMER technology decomposes and suppresses this damp odor-causing bacteria.

Demonstration of suppression of the bacteria Moraxella Bacillus (the cause of wet odor in laundry)

As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the bacteria Moraxella (the cause of the damp smell of laundry) decomposed and suppressed by 99.8% within 2 hours after STREAMER irradiation.

Testing Method

The sample containing 2 ml of the test bacterial solution in a petri dish (φ60 mm) was allowed to stand in the STREAMER generator. The suppressive effect was obtained from the measurement of the number of bacteria after 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 hours. STREAMER release device and test bacteria are provided by Daikin. The number of measurements is 3 times.

To suppress the smell of wet laundry, it is ideal to dry it within 5 hours!

The most important thing to prevent the smell of dampness is the “time from end of washing to drying”. Moraxella bacteria grow explosively after about 5 hours, so if you can dry it within 5 hours, you can suppress the damp smell to some extent. What we want to remember here is the trick to drying clothes indoors. First, it is important to hang it in a well-ventilated place. It is assumed that many people hang them on the curtain rails, but that is the worst place to be because it is easy for moisture to build up on windows and there are lots of germs. And, we also design how to dry. You can quickly dry clothes by hanging the long one on the outer side of the hanger, “curl drying” which hangs the short one in the middle, or “ghost drying” which only places the long-sleeved part of the shirt on another hanger… Given the growth of bacteria, it is recommended to use a dehumidifier or air conditioner equipped with an air cleaning function. If you're worried about odors, give it a try, as laundry odors can be suppressed with a little effort like this.
