Testing Organization

Joint research with Wakayama Medical University.

Testing Method

“Fungus” and “mites (carcass)” were placed on the electrodes of the STREAMER discharge unit, and after being exposed to the STREAMER discharge for 15 min, they were photographed by electron microscopy.

Demonstration of the suppression against molds

As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that 99.9% fungi were suppressed within 24 h by STREAMER irradiation.

Testing Organization

Japan Food Research Laboratories.

Testing Method

A test piece in which the cultured bacterial solution is placed in the container, the test STREAMER generator is operated, and the number of viable cells is measured after 24 h.

Demonstration of suppression of the allergic effects of mites (faeces and carrion)

As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that 99.6% allergic effects of mites (faeces and carcasses) were suppressed within 24 hours by STREAMER irradiation.

Testing Method

Allergen analysis was confirmed by the ELISA method using the STREAMER test generator.

The relationship between mold, mites and allergies

Because mold and mites prefer a moist environment, they thrive when humidity is high. In addition, because indoor mites are fed by mold, they are more likely to appear in mold breeding sites. When these fungi and their excreta/carcass mites touch human skin or are inhaled, they cause various allergic symptoms such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, rhinitis and itchy eyes.
