STREAMER Technology Experiment in Activating Effects on Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

As a test result, SARS-CoV-2 was inactivated by 93.7% after 1 hour of STREAMER irradiation. After 2 hours, it was deactivated by more than 99.8%, reaching more than 99.9% after 3 hours of STREAMER irradiation.

*These results were obtained using a STREAMER discharge device for testing in the lab condition. The effect of products equipped with STREAMER technology or resulting in the actual use environment may differ.

Testing Method

Two approx. 31L acrylic boxes are installed inside the safety cabinet. One box is equipped with a STREAMER release device and the other box does not. A teeter-totter shaker was placed in each box, and a six-well plate was placed on top of the mobile shaker. 0.5 ml of virus solution was inserted into each plate hole, and STREAMER irradiation was carried out while stirring the solution using a mobile shaker (approximately 12 times per minute). Viral solutions were collected from two wells every hour for three hours, and viral load was measured. The viral load of SARS-CoV-2 was quantified by the TCID50 method using Vero E6/TMPRSS2 cells.
